SALARY

How much can I make?
You will be paid in chickens and goats. (Oh sorry, wrong country). Your cash intake depends on so many ever-changing factors like where you live, what it costs to buy bread and junk (i.e. cost of living), how much experience is under that belt of yours, the economy schmonemy, supply and demand of graphic designers and so on. Good news is - you CAN make a viable living as a GD but you have to pay your dues, develop a layer of thick skin and be patient.

Starting salaries for a designer with a 4-year college degree range from $25,000-$35,000. If you work your keister off and play your cards right, you can expect that figure to fatten up.

But it doesn’t happen overnight. So be open minded, energized and above all – patient.
